Out of total 204420 applications received from all over the state, 119697 applications were rejected, 24045 applications were rejected - 41788 applications were canceled by parents: Verification process of 18890 applications is in progress. Likely to fall.
State Education Minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said regarding the demand to extend the deadline for filling up the online form for RTE admission, the deadline for filling up the online form for RTE admission will not be extended as it is likely to affect the education work of the students. When the online education work has been started by the private schools in the state, if the deadline for online application for RTE admission is extended or the deadline for rectification of the rejected form is given, the first round of admission under RTE cannot be declared in time. So, it is likely to affect the teaching work of the students.
Minister Shri Chudasama further said that the announcement for admission in the academic year 2020-21 under RTE was made in the newspapers on 07/08/2020. Necessary basis for filling up the online form - A total of 11 days from 07/08/2020 to 18/08/2020 was given to the parents for the applicants to collect the evidence. Then, to fill up the online form. Dated from 19/08/2020. A total of 10 days till 29/08/2020 was given to the applicants.
Thus, the parents have been given a total of 23 days to collect the required documents and fill up the form. Mr. Chudasama added that,
During this period, a total of 204420 applications have been submitted by parents on the online form filling website http://rte.orpgujarat.com. Out of which 119697 applications have been rejected and 24045 applications have been rejected from district level till date. In addition 41788 applications have been canceled by the guardians. While the verification process of 18890 applications is currently underway. Verification of applications will be done till 07/09/2020 and the first round of RTE admission process will be announced on 11/09/2020.
