Freezing of Dearness Allowance to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief to Central Government pensioners at current rates till July 2021 .

New Delhi dated: April 23, 2020 for the employees of the Center, it has been given in which it is stated that the dearness allowance of Central Government employees and the existing rates of dearness relief of Central Government pensioners till July 2021  In this regard, the undersigned has been directed to say that in view of the crisis arising out of Kovid-19, it has been decided that the employees of the Central Government  1 Dearness allowances payable from January 1, 2020 and additional installment of dearness relief of central government pensioners will not be paid.

 From this July 1, 2020 and January 1, 2021, there will also be no payment of dearness allowances and additional installments of dearness relief.  However, dearness allowances and dearness relief will continue to be paid at current rates.

 As soon as it is decided by the government to release future installments of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief with effect from 1 July 2021, the rates of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief effective from 1 January 2020, 1 July 2020 and 1 January 2021 with prospective effect  Will be reinstated and will be included in the cumulative revised rate effective from 1 July 2021.

 No arrears for the period from 1 January 2020 to 30 June 2021 will be given.  These orders will be applicable to all Central Government employees and Central Government pensioners.
