SSY : What is the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana ?
As part of the BBBP campaign, the scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi means 'Sukanya Samariddhi Yojana (SSY)', which means - 'Girls Child Prosperity Scheme'.
At present, there is a very large population increase in India. But against that there is a tragic thing - and that is - female sex ratio. In order to address this decreasing female sex ratio issue mainly, the Government of India started a very important social campaign called 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' (BBBP), on January 22, 2015, which means 'Save the Girls, Educate Girl'. This is the National Initiative jointly organized by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Human Resource Development. The target of BBBP is as follows:

SSY The main goal of this plan is to overcome the major problem associated with the girl's child, such as education and marriage. Another important purpose of SSY is to achieve a bright future for the girl child in India through different approaches to make the funding of these girls suitable for education and facilitating the girl child's parental care at the cost of the girl's basic careless free of cost. SSYA has introduced the Sudun Samridea Account for this purpose.
The Sukanya Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year, has been made keeping in mind all aspects of higher education or marriage for girls. This scheme has a good option of saving savings in addition to investment for girls. There is no risk in it. But yes if the account holder becomes NRI then certain accounts will be closed and interest will not be paid. Interest earned at 8.5% interest on the amount invested in the Sukanya prosperity scheme. However, the government is currently making different changes in the interest rate from time to time. From the birth of a daughter to the age of 15 years, in the dry land of Sakina prosperity, the depositor or guardian can deposit the rupees. There is a minimum deposit of Rs.1000, but a penalty of Rs.50 will be considered for not paying minimum amount of Rs.1000. No interest will be paid on the Sukanya prosperity account. But savings account interest will get 4%. You can deposit more than 1.5 lakhs in this account during the financial year. If more than one mistake has been deposited, it can be deleted.

The bride's parents or either the guardian or girl child (if she has attained 10 years of age) can also deposit the amount and run her own account
When the girl's own age 18 years old, the girl will be managed by the child.

Only one account per girl can be opened
(Accounts can be opened for a maximum of two girl children in a family, that means a person with a person, wife and children (including adoptive children)
Two children born in the first order of birth or two children born in the second year of birth or second in the second place of birth are allowed to have more than two girl children in case of twins or twins.
