Divyangan Empowerment Department has been working on the Ambarella scheme of "Scholarship for Divyang Students" from April 1, 2018 to empowering people with disabilities through the study. The department is offering Divya students the opportunity to avail scholarships under pre-matric, post-matric and higher education for the year 2019-20. These three components of the scholarship scheme are being dealt with through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Registration of students on NSP has been started from July 15, 2019. Apply online at National Scholarship Portal (www.scholarships.gov.in). The deadline for submission and verification of applications on the portal is as under
Pre-Metric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities
The last date for submission of online application by student is 15th October 2019
Deadline for verification by the institute is 31 October 2019
Deadline for scrutiny by the State Nodal Officer is November 15, 2019
All the above scholarships seem to be 40% and above for the students having a valid disability certificate issued in this regard by the Disability and Competent Medical Officer as per the Divorce Divorce Rights Act 2016. Note:
(1) Each institution has to fill in the verification form of its nodal officer for approval of the applications and shall be approved by the district / state nodal officer. If the institution, the Vidyalaya College do not do so, they will not be able to submit the application online.
(2) The names, e-mail IDs and contact information of the State Nodal Officers for scholarships for the students with disabilities are available on the website www.scholarships.gov.in and also on the website of this section www.disabilityaffairs.gov.in.
