New traffic rules announced by the government 

New rules and provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act (Amendment) 2019 have been implemented simultaneously with effect from 01 September 2019 all over India. Subsequently, the public was extended some time due to difficulties in obtaining PUC and licenses, insurance etc. Again from 03-11-2019 these rules have been compulsory. The penalties for violating traffic rules have been increased by 30 times. Therefore, the negligence of the vehicle will now be more expensive.


What are the new traffic rules ?

Under the new traffic rules, various traffic offenses such as -
Driving without wearing a helmet
Driving over-speed
Driving without wearing a seat belt
Drunk driving
Talking on mobile while driving
The penalty for each such offense has been increased by 30 times. The new fines for this traffic can be seen in the graph below.
